The Federal Grant for meals has ended

May 23, 2022

Dear La Moille CUSD families,

The federal program that has allowed school districts across the country to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students regardless of income will expire on June 30, 2022. Since 2020, this

program has eliminated the need to collect payments for school meals for any student.

At this time, the federal government has not extended the waivers for next school year to allow free meals for all students. As a result, schools across the nation will be reverting to free and

reduced-price meals based on income eligibility guidelines set by the U.S. Department of

Agriculture.

Click here for the full letter regarding the change in the lunch program.

The La Moille After School Program has a part time position available. We are looking for an organized individual to gather documents, prepare supplies and ensure smooth programming during summer school and possibly next school year. Please reach out with any questions as this position has flexibility to accommodate the right person!

Information will be updated weekly.

"Quarantine" includes individuals who might have been exposed to COVID-19 and have been officially quarantined by the Bureau County Health Department.

"Close Contact" is an individual not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. For students in the indoor classroom setting, contacts who were within 3 to 6 feet of an infected student do not require quarantine as long as both the case and the contact were consistently masked. If they were not consistently masked, then close contacts are classroom students who were within 6 feet of the infected student for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.
