Remote Learning Update Letter

Aug. 31, 2020

Dear Parents, Students, and Faculty of La Moille Schools:

Our administrative team and School District Nurse Cindy Martin met to review the COVID status for Bureau County and our surrounding area. As previously announced, remote learning for our school district had been designated through September 4 (Labor Day Weekend). It was our hope that the county designation and the COVID-19 numbers would decrease, allowing us to offer in-person learning for any family desiring a more traditional educational setting. However, upon reviewing the latest statistics, Bureau County remains in the warning category, and some area schools that started with a blended approach have now needed to move to total remote learning.

With the latest statistics, it remains clear that we need to continue remote learning throughout the district through the first quarter of the school year. Thus, students will receive quality remote instruction through October 16th.
